A Walk to Remember Trailer

  A walk to remember has got to be on my top  10 favorite chick flicks. Why you may ask?  I just feel like a lot of people in someway can relate to this movie.To some people you may be  mandy moores;


A walk to remember is about a boy named Landon Carter and a girl named Jamie Sullivan. Landon is part of the so called "in crowd" and is way into himself and trying to please everyone else and not ever doing what that he truly wants to do.Jamie on the other hand knows what she wants out of her life. She is not afraid to be herself...and doesn't really care what people think of her. When Landon gets into trouble he is forced to start spending time with other people ( hint hint Jamie). The school principle tells him that he needs to participate in the school play and help out with the special needs kids on the weekends. Jamie is also already doing all of these things. They now are spending tons of time together and they start to fall in love. (Jamie told him from the start that he had to promise her one thing which is to not fall in love with her.) Later on in the movie Landon stops hanging out with the people that he used to and starts spending more and more time with Jamie. Landon then finds out that Jamie has cancer and is completely heartbroken and trys to help her as much as he can.

THE HUNGER GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so I freakin loved The Hunger Games!!!  I will admit I was really nervous that they were going to ruin the book.But they did a pretty good job following the book. I thought they did an excellent job with not making it super graphic since the book is super graphic. Of course it being a movie it couldn't include all the little details that the book had in it. Some of the things that were different then the book that were in the movie were... In the movie the person that gave her the pin was prim but in the book the person that gave katniss was the mayors daughter.  But I am pretty sure that was the only thing that I can remember that was different! I still love the book better then the movie. I wish it did have the little conversations that she had with people in the town. I really hope that they end up making the next two books!!!


So for those of you haven't read the hunger games let me give you a brief summary about what the hunger games is about. 
Okay so the main character's name is Katniss Everdeen and she is a strong independent teenager who hunts for her mother and sister. Her father died when she was young but before he died he taught her how to shoot a bow and arrow...so she is super good with the bow. Anyways each year  they have this thing called the hunger games . Where each district sacrifices two people to participate in the hunger games. There can only be one winner out of 24 participants. Let the games begin!!!  

 I encourage everyone to read The Hunger games  as soon as possible because I know for a fact that everyone that reads it will love it!!!!!

Footloose

Okay so yesterday I saw the new version of the movie Footloos. Let me tell you I wasn't head over heals in love with it like half the people that I watched it with. A couple of summers ago I went and saw the Footloose at Tuchan in St.George (where I am from) So when I saw the movie I wasn't at all impressed with the music. I guess you could say I perfer to have music in musicals baha! Don't get me all wrong about the movie....it wasn't that bad. But like I said it just wasn't as good as the play. I did love the actors they picked for the characters ren,arial,and willard. (Willard is my favorite of character of the movie) He just makes the movie 10x better!!

So yesterday I went back in time a little and watched some movies from the 90's ....oh and was it wonderful!!I don't know who has all seen the movie Drive me Crazy?!! I remember seeing bits and pieces of it when I was younger but I never watched the whole thing! 

Anyways it has the Melissa Joan hart from Sabrina the teenage witch in it and she is the Nicole (the main girl in the movie) and she is in charge of their school centennial which is the senior’s last high school dance. She has thee biggest crush on the star player of the basketball team named brad. Brad likes her too until he meets another girl named Kathy. Brad was going to ask Nicole to their centennial until he met Kathy. So feeling like crap and not knowing who to go with. She goes through her high school year book until she stumbles upon a boy named chase. 

Nicole and Chase go way back they have been neighbors since the 4th grade and were middle school sweethearts until chases mom passes away. It causes chase to go into a stage of rebellion and that's when they grew apart. 

Now Chase on the other hand just got dumped by his girlfriend of a 1 year and a 1/2 and is desperate to get her back. Nicole and Chase decide to help each other out and go with each other to the centennial dance to try to make there ex's jealous. They start to hang out together a lot and act like they are dating (but in their heads they think it's just a scam to make people think they like each other) While they’re trying to conivice people that they like each other…they actually fall in love. In the end they both end up with what they wanted…for nicole to get brad back and for chase to get demmie back. They find out that what they really wanted is to be with each other.  This movie just made me smile the whole time that I was watching it.

I just recently read The Hunger Games over Christmas break and I fell in love with it! To be honest it wasn’t an easy book for me to get into but once I got past the first couple of chapters I was fine! I loved how it was very different from the latest books twilight. Katniss is a strong independent woman who wants to help out the people that she loves. In this book she goes through so many different challenges and adventures.

Words can’t even describe how excited I am for the Hunger Games! I am a little nervous for them to make the movie…just because I know it won’t be as good as the book….but that’s how it always is right? I’m a nerd, and have already done my research on the characters and I LOVE who they have chosen for Katniss, Petta, and Gale. Ahh they are just how I imagined them. I want to hear how you all imagined them!! :]

The Notebook

The Notebook is probably on my top 10 list of best romantic movies of all times!It is just one of those movies that makes me want to fall in love. It makes me want to have a love like thiers. Even tho they fight all the time they still love each other no matter what happens.If you haven't seen it,it's a must see movie!! AHHH I LOVE IT!!

Storyline

The movie focuses on an old man reading a story to an old woman in a nursing home. The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun, who meet one evening at a carnival. But they are separated by Allie's parents who dissaprove of Noah's unwealthy family, and move Allie away. After waiting for Noah to write her for several years, Allie meets and gets engaged to a handsome young soldier named Lon. Allie, then, with her love for Noah still alive, stops by Noah's 200-year-old home that he restored for her, "to see if he's okay". It is evident that they still have feelings for each other, and Allie has to choose between her fiancé and her first love. Written by Jessica Cymerman

The VOW *spoiler alert*

So like I told you I went and saw The Vow when it came out on friday night with my best friend Kaysie Taylor. The theater was packed full of girls...it was insane! We barley found two seats for the both of us!

So I thought I had the vow all thought through in my head how everything was going to happen. But it wasn't how I imagined it to be like. It starts off and with paige and leo and they are madly and deeply in love. ( ahh so cute!!!) When tragically they get in a car accident and paige didn't have her seatbelt on... and she flew through the window! She is in a coma for a couple of weeks and while she is in the hospital he tells their story of how they fell in love. When paige wakes up she has no memory of the past 5 years. She has no clue who leo is and it scares her. Her parents are there as well (who she hadn't been getting a long with because she quit law school and started art school) and they try to take her back with them but leo refuses to let paige go. Paige finally agrees to go with leo back to their home to try to see if she can remember anything that they had between them. Leo trys to help her remember the things that they used to do....some of her new habits that she had picked up since they got married. It just overwhelms paige to think about this completely new life when all she can remember is her old boyfriend and going to law school and being with her family. She is just so lost and confused and leo just doesn't know what to do anymore.( I almost cried like 3 times) They end up getting a divorce to try to start things fresh. But it's useless Leo is in love with paige,but she doesn't love him anymore. Paige ends up going back to law school when she realizes why she quit in the first place. She tells her dad that she's not going any more and moves back to the city...where she runs into leo. She decides to give him another chance in the end.

AHHHHH I hated the ending so much I wanted them to just lay one on each other or show like 1 year later and show them getting married. bleh! The whole time I thought that it was going to be Leo trying to make her love him again.( which he did a little) But most of the time it just showed them arguing and her frusteration. I was kinda bummed. I wanted it to be more romantic! ha I am def a girl! anywho this is just my little oppinion on this movie. I hope you all enjoy it like I did!!!

 If you love Taylor Launter and you love a little cheese and action then you'll love Abduction.

Abduction is a movie about a boy named Nathan Harper. (Played by twilight hottie Taylor Launter!!)BONUS! Anywho while researching a class assignment with his friend/crush Karen.(Collins off of blindside)They stumble apon his picture on a missing persons website. (which is actually a scam to target where he is located) He then realizes his parents are not his own and his life is a lie, carefully fabricated to hide something more mysterious and dangerous than he could have ever imagined.

Why I liked the movie

I really liked this movie because I thought it had an interesting story line. I haven't seen any movies that are like abduction. I mean how crazy would it be to find your picture on missing persons website. I don't know about you ,but I think I would be freaking out 10x more than he did in the movie! I also loved that there was a little romance in the movie, although at times the lines were pretty cheesy!

I love all different types of movies, but I have a little bit of a soft spot for chick flicks! I mean come on what girl wouldn't love to fantasize about getting swept off your feet by some charming handsome young man?! I know I wouldn't mind at all! I am so excited about the upcoming movie " The Vow" with Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams! (two of my favorite actors) It looks so good! I am for sure going to see "The Vow" when it comes out to theaters on February 10th! Just in time to go see it with your lover before Valentines day! wooo
